Industrial grade coating process

1. DIAMOND GRIND

  • We start each concrete coating project by diamond grinding the concrete. This allows the liquid coating to penetrate into the pores of the concrete for a proper bond.

2. FIX CRACKING OR DETERIORATION

  • If there’s moderate/significant deterioration or cracking our team will fill, grind and repair the areas before the coating process.

3. VAPOR BARRIER BASE COAT

  • The primary function of this commercial epoxy coating is to anchor into the concrete. This creates a solid bond and vapor barrier, good up to 8lbs per square inch.

4. TRACTION FLAKE DISTRIBUTION - FULL BROADCAST

  • Traction Flakes function as the texture/grip for the floor. We primarily use a 1/4” size and when sealed with the final clear coat, provides hardy traction while still being easy to clean.

5. SANDING/VACUUMING

  • Once the base coat and flakes have hardened to the concrete, the floor is smoothed out by lightly sanding the surface with various tools. The floor is then vacuumed clear of excess Traction Flakes, readying the floor for the final sealer coating.

6. POLYASPARTIC CLEAR COAT

  • The Polyaspartic Top Coat ensures a smooth, clear surface which seals and protects the floor. This product is troweled on and back rollered for an even finish. Our Polyaspartic Clear Coat is 6x stronger than epoxy and is scratch, chemical, UV and impact resistant.
